The Old Village with its thatched cottages is just around the corner, and when you want to explore further afield, the train station is close enough that you can easily hop over to Ryde or Cowes without any hassle.

  Westbury Lodge is a lovely stay in Shanklin. You will not meet any better than Rosemary and David to welcome you. Firstly, a pot of tea and lemon drizzle cake!

  The location of the property is fantastic. Close to the beach walk, the Chine and old village. The hosts are very friendly and welcomed us even though we arrived late (10:30 pm). Great breakfast options, and provided advice about the isle. Provide carafes of water and room had all the coffee, tea, hot chocolate amenities for those who use it. The room was good sized, quiet, and comfortable. The bathroom was large and the shower worked well. There is no AC, but closing the curtains during the day, and opening windows at night kept the temperature comfortable and cool.
