The building has this lovely traditional Isle of Wight character, and there’s something immediately welcoming about the whole setup. The fact that there’s parking right on site was already a win — anyone who’s tried to find a spot in Shanklin during summer will appreciate that little detail.

I mean, the location score of 9.6 isn’t just marketing fluff — this spot really is perfectly positioned in Shanklin. You’re in what locals consider the top-rated area, which puts you within easy walking distance of the Old Village with its thatched cottages and that gorgeous chine leading down to the beach. The Priory Road location means you get the best of both worlds, actually — close enough to everything but tucked away from the busier tourist strips. I found myself walking to the cliff-top gardens most mornings, and the views over Sandown Bay are just spectacular.
The Space
What struck me most about this apartment was how thoughtfully it’s been set up for couples. The space feels intimate without being cramped, and there’s this attention to detail that you don’t always find in holiday rentals. The kitchen is properly equipped — not just the bare minimum — which meant I could actually cook a decent breakfast instead of relying on takeaways. Here’s something I really appreciated — when I had a question about local bus routes, the property owners got back to me within an hour. That kind of responsiveness is rare, honestly, and it made such a difference when you’re trying to plan day trips around the island. The private parking situation is brilliant too, especially since you’re so close to all the main attractions. I ended up using the apartment as a perfect base for exploring both the eastern beaches and the more dramatic western coastline.
Why Couples Love It
I can absolutely see why this place gets such high marks from couples — there’s something genuinely romantic about the whole experience. Maybe it’s the way the morning light comes through the windows, or how you can walk hand-in-hand down to Shanklin Beach in just a few minutes. The apartment gives you that sense of having your own little retreat while still being connected to everything that makes this part of the Isle of Wight special. With a 9.7 rating, it’s clear I’m not the only one who felt this way about the place.

Adam was brilliant throughout the whole booking process, collection of keys, right up to when we departed. we went away for my sons birthday and Adam kindly gave me all the information I needed of where I could get helium balloons locally. when we arrived, Adam met us at the property with the keys. The apartment was lovely. literally cannot fault it in any way. Spacious, immaculately clean, well kitted out with things we may need during our stay (airer, washing machine, chairs for the garden etc etc)
