Bellevue Road is one of those lovely tree-lined streets where you can actually hear the birds singing, and it’s perfect for couples looking for a romantic escape (which explains why it gets such high marks from couples). The free parking is actually a huge deal here — anyone who’s tried to park in Cowes during sailing season knows what I’m talking about.

The rooms at Beresford81 strike that perfect balance between cozy and sophisticated. Each one is individually decorated, so you’re not getting that cookie-cutter hotel feel, and the beds are genuinely comfortable — I’m talking about the kind where you actually want to hit snooze in the morning. The bathrooms are modern and well-appointed, though some of the rooms are a bit snug (it’s a Victorian house, after all), but that just adds to the intimate atmosphere. What really impressed me was how quiet everything is — the double glazing does its job, and you’ll sleep like a baby.

  We really liked the layout of the property, which was ideal for a family of four. We also liked the level of equipment provided – very comprehensive and there was nothing we needed and couldn’t find. Parking outside was handy too (although it’s worth not being last back in the evening or you won’t get outside). Bedrooms were comfortable and the seating area in the garden was an added bonus.

  Absolutely loved this precious gem of a property. Everything was exactly how would dream of,.. The decor., the bedrooms and the wonderful patio to sit and enjoy the gorgeous sunshine on a beautifully crafted home. Really clean and spotless, spent loads of time playing hide and seek as there was so many wardrobes and cupboards to hide in. A massive bathroom where you wish to unwind after a long day. Good amenities within a short walk and some pleasant neighbours.
