What I appreciated most was how quiet everything was, despite being reasonably close to the main Portsmouth attractions. The spa facilities are a nice touch too, though I’ll be honest, after a day of walking around the historic sites, just having a comfortable base to return to was really special.

The owners clearly know Southsea well, and they’re genuinely helpful with recommendations that go beyond the obvious tourist spots. They pointed me toward a fantastic little café just around the corner that I never would have found otherwise, and gave me the inside track on the best times to visit Southsea Common without the crowds. There’s also decent parking available, which — trust me — is not something to take for granted in this part of Portsmouth. If you’re driving down from London or coming in from elsewhere, you’ll appreciate not having to circle around looking for a spot.

  Fantastic location! Our room was spacious and beautifully decorated. Steve, our host, was friendly and provided great insights on local attractions. The entertainment system on the TV was impressive. The ground floor area was exceptional, featuring numerous games and opportunities to socialize with other guests. The kitchen was well-equipped, though we didn't use it.

  Excellent format, with kitchen use, plenty of space downstairs and games provided were fun.

  The bed was huge! the bedroom was clean and very large, enough for my partner and I and my daughter to live comfortably for three days. I would stay here again without hesitation.
  Great location, a short walk to the town centre. The facilities include full FREE use of a large games room with pool table, air hockey, Subutteo, table tennis, a retro electronic Pacman games table, board games, cards and more.
